Lucia was motivated to get into comedy while listening to podcasts of professional comedians. A lot of the comedians encourage people to NOT get into the business of comedy. 

A lot of comedians also have been fired or tell stories and jokes about not fitting in at a 9-5 type of job. These stories resonated and in 2013 Lucia took a comedy writing class with Victoria, BC actor and comedian Kirsten van Ritzen and performed in her first ticketed show, doing comedy, in December 2013. Mix in an interest in photography and taking photos of comedians and Lucia was well on her way to discovering an interesting and varied career.

Over ten years later, Lucia produces Aand hosts open mics and comedy shows in Victoria, BC. Do what you love, say yes and show your work!
